In this theory course, the fundamental belief that the professional delivery of health and health-related human services should be informed by knowledge generated from scholarly inquiry and scientific research serves as the foundation. A substantial amount of the published scientific research informing the health and health-related professions is quantitative. As such, study findings and conclusions are most often based on statistical analyses. This theory course is designed to enable undergraduate students in the health and health-related professions to understand fundamental descriptive and inferential statistics reported in such published studies.
